Centre took the initiative to present the highest Civilian Award in the name of Sardar Patel
The Central Government of India has recently taken an initiative to present the highest Civilian Award which will be offered to the one who will contributing in the Unity and Integrity of India in the name of Legendary Personality Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who was a Indian Statesman and an Independence Activist and work toward bringing unity among the citizen of India. The First Receiver of this honorable award will be awarded on 31st October on the auspicious day of the 144th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. According to an official notification released, the Award Committee will be structured by the Prime Minister of India, which will be having the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Home Secretary as a Member, Secretary to the President, Cabinet Secretary, and three-four eminent personalities selected by the Prime Minister. The Award will consist of a citation and a Medal, no cash award will be given to the awardee, and according to the rule there can’t be more than three winners in a year.

World Cities Day celebrated every year on 31st October
World Cities Day: observed every year on the 31st October with a vision to work together fight the rapid growth of problems due to the increasing population. The day was established by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) by passing a resolution in December 2013, and the first time it was celebrated on the 31st October 2014 in Shanghai, China with a theme of “Leading Urban Transformations”. The motive to celebrate this day is to build and promote sustainable cities and work on the challenges faced to adhere Urbanization for which the general theme for this day is “Better City, Better Life”. This time the World Cities Day is going to be hosted by the city of Ekaterinburg in Russia with a theme of “Changing the World: Innovations and a better life for future generations.”
Second Assembly of International Solar Alliance going on in India
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is hosting the 2nd Assembly of International Solar Alliance (ISA) on the 30th and 31st October 2019 in the capital of the nation, New Delhi. The two-day programme is planned as such that on 30th October 2019 meetings will be held to coordinate and consult on the different aspects of the ISA Programs and the initiatives, and on 31st October, there will be an Assembly meeting. The Assembly of the ISA is the Chief Decision Making Body who gives directions to the various issues in the programme such as financial and administrative. The current President of the Assembly is Shri R.K. Singh (Minister for New and Renewable Energy and Power) and the Co-President is Ms Brune Poirson (Minister of State for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition Govt. of France). Out of the 121 Prospective member countries, 81 have signed the Framework Agreement of the IAS. This time in the Assembly meeting more than 400 delegates are going to arrive at the meeting.
