Prime Minister Modi ask people to participate in Fit India Plogging Run

The PM Narendra Modi in his all-time famous Mann Ki Baat programme asked people to be a part of the Fit India Plogging Run on the auspicious day of Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2019. This time PM Modi came up with a very unique idea of picking up litter while jogging. Also for the Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel on 31st October 2019, he asked people to participate in Run for Unity which would be organized in his remembrance. He also urged people to discourage all addictions such as chewing tobacco and smoking cigarettes, to become fit and healthy and achieve the goal of Fit India.


Sri Lankan NPM names former Army Commander Mahesh Senanayake as the presidential candidate

Army General Mahesh Senanayake, the former Army Commander of Sri Lanka, has been selected as a Presidential Candidate of the National’s People Movement (NPM) which is a cooperative of civil organizations, created last year to promote national unity, achieve ethnic and religious harmony, reconciliation, to find the suitable leaders for the country and to inherit a new political leadership. General Senanayake became the 22nd Commander of the Army in June 2017 and retired on September 2019 from the Army. The new candidate is selected, keeping in mind the need to fulfill the hopes of Sri-Lankan’s population and stand upon all the duties that a presidential candidate should possess.


Bada Dashain: The biggest festival of Nepal begins



The biggest festival of Nepal- ‘BadaDashain’ has begun where devotees from various parts of the country perform Ghatsthapana and sow maze and barley seeds for germination barley shoots (JAMARA) as it is believed very auspicious. It is a 15-day festival during which Goddess Durga is worshiped for nine days in the month of Ashwin. Elders present golden barley shoots to the young and new members of the family, blessing them for their prosperity, progress, and peace in life.
