On the auspicious occasion of Dipawali, Ayodhya celebrated the Grand Deepotsava 2019 and registered a World Record of lightning the most number of Diyas. This year over 5 lakh 51 thousand Diyas (Earthen lamps) were lit on the occasion on the sidelines and banks of the river Saryu and other places in the town. Ayodhya also remembered as Ramnagari as it is said that Lord Rama was born here, celebrated Deepotsava for the 3rd time this year and the Government has given it a status of State Fair, so the expense is borne by the government itself. Ayodhya is also famous for its ongoing case on the structuring of Ram Mandir where the Babari Masjid was demolished in 1992.

CMS grabs a place in the Guinness Book of World Records
Lucknow-based English Medium Co-Ed private school: City Montessori School has recently registered in the Guinness Book of World Records. The school has been awarded the status for having the largest strength of students and is titled as the ‘Worlds Largest School.’ In the year 2019-20 the school was honored with a global award for having the maximum strength. Currently the school has 18 branches having almost 56,000 students in total across the city. The school is registered and affiliated to Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). The institution is also awarded the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education in 2002 and was presented with the ‘Hope of Humanity’ Award from Dalai Lama.
Maharatna status to HPCL and PowerGrid
The Government of India has honored Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Power Grid Corporation Limited (PGCL) by granting the status of ‘Maharatna’ which will give them greater financial and operational support. The Department of Public Enterprises under the Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises has released two different orders for the same to take effect. The Maharatna status will help the officials to increase and improve the financial decisions.
