New Appointments in various ministries approved by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet



The Cabinet Committee for Appointment has recently approved the appointment of various government servants in different Ministries. A total of 10 officers have been appointed for different posts. The following are the list of the appointed officers in the respective ministries :

  • Pramod Kumar Das- Madhya Pradesh Cadre IAS – new Minority Affairs Secretary.

  •  Pankaj Kumar- 1987 batch IAS officer- new CEO of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

  • Sanjeev Nandan Sahai- new Power Secretary.

  • Braj Raj Sharma- new Chairman of Staff Selection Commission (SSC).

  • Tuhin Kanta Pandey- Odisha cadre IAS officer- new Secretary Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM).

  • Sanjeev Gupta- Himachal cadre IAS officer- Secretary, Inter-State Council Secretariat.

  • Alok Tandon- Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances.

  • Rajesh Bhushan- Secretary (Coordination) in the Cabinet Secretariat.

  • Sailesh- Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises.

  • Nagendra Nath Sinha- Secretary, Department of Border Management, Ministry of Home Affairs.

2024 Olympic Games logo revealed in Paris



The Olympic Committee recently released the brand new logo for the Olympic Paralympic Games 2014, which will be going to held in France this time. The unique designs cover a combination of three symbols at the same time. It beautifully includes a Gold Medal, the famous Olympic Flame and the face of Marianne. The Committee chose a symbolic time for unveiling the symbol, which is 20h:24min on 21st October 2019. The shape of the symbol represents the Gold Medal in which there resides a symbol of a flame in the middle representing the Olympic Flame and inside which a pair of cartoon styled lips are designed designating the Face of Marianne. Below this symbol “PARIS 2024” is written in a new Art Deco-style Font. This time the motto for the 2024 Olympics is “Made for Sharing”.


Sourav Ganguly assumes the charge as 39th BCCI President



The Legendary former cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has been appointed as the president of the Board of Control of Cricket in India on 23rd October 2019. For 33 months, he served as CoA (Committee of Administrators) and now he is elected as the President unopposed. A General Body Meeting was conducted where the members of CoA were present and Ganguly official took over the charge by N Gopalswami (BCCI Electoral Officer). Sourav Ganguly is the 39th president of the BCCI before him C. K. Khanna was on the chair whereas R.E. Grant Govan was the first BCCI President.
