India ready to sign agreement on Kartarpur Corridor
India and its neighbouring nation Pakistan are ready to agree on the terms to reopen the Kartarpur Corridor linking two major Sikh shrines on both sides. Both the nations will sign the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) on 23rd October 2019. The Corridor is structured as such that it will link the Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Pakistan’s Kartarpur, which was the final resting place of Guru Nanak who was the founder of Sikhism. To embark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, both the nations agreed to this decision, and Ministry of External Affairs has also requested Pakistan’s Government to reconsider the demand of charging $20 as a service fee per pilgrim.

Supreme Court directs Central Government to rebuild Ravidas Temple at its original place
Supreme Court of India has directed the Central Government to restructure the Saint Ravidas Temple at the same spot where it was situated before. According to the orders of the Supreme Court, this time the temple will be given double the area it had before. A committee comprising Justices Arun Mishra and Ravindra Bhatt was organized for the judgement. On 8th April, the Supreme Court declared an order to demolish the temple against which the Dalit organizations across Delhi and different states started to protest. Now the government has offered an area of 400 sq m as earlier the temple was build in 200 sq m. SC has also directed to release all those who were arrested during the protest with an agreement to sign “let there be Peace” bond.
Training of Nepali Officers on “Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism” in Bengaluru.
The Central Government of India has started to train the Officers of Nepal Government to tackle the major issues such as Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT), which gives a great impact globally. The training is organized at the Regional Centre of National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN) in Bengaluru. The whole training is divided into three batches, and the first batch of 20 Officials has already completed their training successfully. This time the second batch of 18 Officials is being trained and after them, the third batch will be trained in December 2019, having 21 Officials.
