Global and India growth rates slashed by IMF



The World Bank-International Monetary Fund in its annual meeting announced that they are downgrading the global growth to 3% which is the lowest since the global financial crisis and moreover India’s Growth Projection has also slashed to 6.1% and 7.0% for the year 2019 and 2020 respectively which was due to the decline in expected domestic demand. The reasons behind this decline are grounded by IMF that are uncertainty around trade and politics, rising trade disputes, advanced economies’ ageing population, etc. IMF Chief Economist and Director of Research Department Gita Gopinath delivered the news in the meeting.


MSDE to structure World Skills India Training Centres



Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mahendra Nath Pandey, unfolds the plan of structuring 14 authorized World Skills India Training Centres across 9 different cities. The initiative is taken to provide advanced skill training to those candidates who are in the field of media and entertainment sector which would help the trainees to be ready for the international market. The Government wants the youth to get skilled and participate in the competitions and grab medal for the nation. The cities in which these centres are going to be established are as follows:

Chandigarh

New Delhi

Chennai

Trivandrum

Indore

Pune

Mumbai

Hyderabad

Shillong

These centres will provide a certification course for 9 months and 36 months on 3D digital games, graphic design technology and print media technology.

 

V. Murleedharan MoS External affairs to pay an official visit to UAE 



Honorable Union Minister of State and External Affairs V. Murleedharan has planned to take off for a two-day official visit to UAE. While visiting the country, a ministerial meeting of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD) is lined up for him. ADD was established in 2008 and is a regional level consultative process that is focused on migration between the Gulf States and the Colombo process countries where the Ministers of different countries come along for discussing the global issues. V. Murleedharan will also be attending a function organized by the Indian Community at Sharjah, and besides this he will also be holding bilateral meetings to strengthen the relations between the two nations.
