India- Sierra Leone agreed upon six agreements 



Indian Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, during his visit to Sierra Leone, agreed upon Six agreements which he along with the President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio signed on behalf of both the nations. The agreements included the extension of 30 Million USD line of credit for the rice cultivation. These agreements will also help in expanding and deepening the relations between the two nations. Indian VP has also announced that a High-Level Commission will also established and also the two nations have agreed upon enhancing cooperation in the fields of Information Technology, Agriculture, Infrastructure Development, Food Processing, and many more, which will automatically strengthen the bilateral relations. The two nations also talked about global issues and agreed upon to take appropriate actions together.

BRICS Culture Ministers’ Meeting to takes place in Brazil this year



BRICS: An association of five emerging national economies consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, was founded in 2006, which organizes formal summits to discuss the global issues of mutual interest and strengthen the relationship with each other. This year the meeting was organized in Curitiba, Brazil where the Cultural Ministers of the five nations were present. From India the Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel attended the summit and gave a valuable proposal for the addition of Literature as a new field of cooperation among the five nations of BRICS.

Nobel Prize for Chemistry: 2019



For the year 2019, three scientists: John B. Goodenough, M. Stanley Whittingham and Akira Yoshino are the selected ones who have received the honorable Nobel Prize for Chemistry. The trio has worked together to develop and advance lithium-ion batteries, which is available in every sector where technology has reached. The assembly said that the invention and the advancement has laid the foundation of a wireless and fossil fuel-free society. John B. Goodenough works as a professor at the University of Texas at Austin were he teaches the students of mechanical engineering and material science. M. Stanley Whittingham is a professor for chemistry and the director at Binghamton University in New York, and lastly Akira Yoshino is a Japanese Scientist working as a professor at Meijo University in Nagoya and was the one who created the first production viable Lithium-ion battery.
