Prime Minister Modi initiates Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana from Ranchi
Prime Minister launched the Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana from Ranchi. The scheme aims to provide a minimum pension of Rs. 3,000 per month to the small and marginal farmers after they attain 60 years of age. The scheme has a disbursement of Rs 10,774 crore for the upcoming three years. The new secretariat building in the state capital will come up at an estimated cost of Rs 1238.92 crore.
He also unveiled India’s second riverine multi-modal terminal built at Sahebganj, Jharkhand. He also inaugurated the newly constructed Jharkhand Assembly building at Dhurwa. He also launched 462 Eklavya Model Residential Schools in the country. The PM also launched Vyapar Swarojgar Pension Scheme for small traders.
UAE President honors First Class Order of Zayed II award to Navdeep Singh Suri
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has presented the First Class Order of Zayed II award to the Ambassador, Navdeep Singh Suri (serving as the Indian Ambassador to the Gulf nation since October 2016). The award is given in recognition of his contribution to the development and strengthening of friendly relations and co-operation between the two countries. It is a rare honour given to any diplomat. During Navdeep Singh Suri’s service, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the UAE twice to build a better relation between the two nations.
Astronomers discover water vapour in atmosphere of distant planet K2-18b
The astronomers used data from NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope to discover water vapour in the atmosphere of distant planet K2-18b. K2-18b is an exoplanet that is eight times the mass of Earth and is therefore known as a super-Earth. The head of the scientists of the University, Prof. Giovanna Tinetti said that it is the first time that they have detected water on a planet which lies in the habitable zone where the temperature is also suitable for a living organism.
