World’s first oral medicine for Alzheimer’s disease



Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease that results in loss of memory, inability to recognize people, confusion while conversing with someone, etc. Treatment for Alzheimer’s Disease has been invented, and it is said to be a great invention in the medical field as the need for such treatment is required for millions of patients globally. China has become the first country to find a cure for this massive disease, which is spread across the globe. The country has created a medicine named GV-971, which has been extracted from Brown Algae and is a Multi-targeted Carbohydrate based drug consumed orally. This drug is a success out of the 320 drug trials to cure Alzheimer's. The production of this cure has been approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (CNMPA) from 29th December 2019.

National Tribal Festival- Aadi Mahotsav



Aadi Mahotsav, a nine-day tribal festival has begun in the Polo Grounds of Leh. The Festival was inaugurated by Arjun Munda (Union Minister of Tribal Affairs). After the revocation of Article 370 and the formation of the two new Union Territories: Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the Central Government has organized the first Mega Event at Leh. The new UT, Ladakh, consists of 97% of tribal population and at the event the Union Minister while addressing the people promised them that the Central Government will do its best to protect aspiration of the people of Ladakh. The festival of Aadi Mahotsav is jointly organized by the Central Government (Tribal Affairs Ministry) and The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED).

US-Bangladesh Navy Exercise 2019 begins



Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT)- 2019, the second phase of the United Stated and Bangladesh Joint Navy Exercise has been started from 4th November 2019 and will continue till 7th November 2019 at Chattogram. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) wing of Bangladesh armed forces released a notification stating the inauguration of the ceremony was done by the Assistant Chief of naval staff (operations) Bangladesh Navy rear admiral M Makbul Hossain who was invited as the Chief Guest and Western Pacific Command Task Force 73 (CTF-73) of the US Navy along with Rear admiral Murray Tynch, commander logistic group were also invited at the ceremony as the special guest of honour. The two nations have conducted this exercise to boost the understanding of the operational activities of the Navies and to get used to with the latest and advanced technology by performing various practical as well as theoretical training.
