Maps of two new UTs have been released



Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, the two new Union Territories, came into existence on 31st October 2019. The Central Government has recently released the map of these two UTs according to which the UT Ladakh is more widely spread as compared to much smaller Jammu & Kashmir in the new Map of India. The Indian Parliament recommended revocation Article 370 has led Indian President RamnathKovind to dismantle the law from the constitution and engage the Jammu & Kashmir Recognition Act 2019. The new Union Territory Ladakh consists of only two districts of J&K, Kargil, and Leh whereas the rest of the former districts comes under the Union Territory Jammu & Kashmir. Earlier, the state Jammu & Kashmir had only 14 districts but after the implementation of J&K Recognition Act 2019.

Mumbai and Hyderabad now a member of UCCN in the fields of Films and Gastronomy respectively



The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has recently designated Mumbai as a member of UNESCO Creative City Networks (UCCN) in the field of FILM and Hyderabad in the field of GASTRONOMY. This Unique distinction was appreciated and praised by the Cultural Minister of India Shri Prahlad Singh Patel. UCCN now consists of 246 cities in total, and the network of these cities thrives for the active centers of the cultural activities in their respective fields. These cities work together toward making cities safe, resilient, inclusive and sustainable, in line with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. There are seven categories under which cities are recognized under UCCN, i.e. Crafts and Folk Arts, Design, Film, Gastronomy, Music, Media Arts and Literature.

South Africa wins Rugby World Cup for the third time



South Africa wins the Rugby World Cup finals on 2nd November 2019 against England at International Yokohama Stadium in Yokohama in Japan. The South African Captain SiyaKolisi grabbed Webb Ellis Cup with South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa. It is told that it was a blowout victory for the Springboks (South African Team), and they have won the cup for the third time.
